de-spec, an interior design firm, was hired by developers for a 200 + unit condo building called The Peninsula, Edgewater, NJ. Furniture, lighting and accessories were choreographed to create four model apartments with an American Modern style. As part of our de-speculative approach the language of style for these apartments was re-defined to regional descriptions – Atlantic, Nordic, Pacific, - using materials and colors evoking the spirit of these regions. spec-house was created in response to client demand, the demand to own the furniture, lighting and accessories found in these model apartments.
