General Dental
Steiner Street, San Francisco
Project Under Construction The dental rooms are shaped as white ‘pods’ with soft rounded edges to avoid hard shadows and soften the glow of light. They are also designed to be acoustically calibrated to reduce echo and, as in a sound studio, mute all sounds. Creating a spa-like atmosphere to avoid the look and feel of a traditional dentist’s office was central to the approach. On the practical side the walls between the two exam rooms serve as a closet allowing the two digitally equipped exam rooms to share dental equipment. |
